Stephen Hall, Location Sound Mixer/Recordist I do location sound recording and mixing for film and video. I've seriously studied techniques, equipment and theory so that the sound captured during a production is as clean as possible. My involvement with audio recording and mixing began when I was in high school, when I worked at a radio station. Other related work including being an apprentice to a TV news stringer, where I often ran the audio equipment and work in a 16mm film post-production house, where I often assisted with mixes. I've found that paying attention to getting clean sound and clean dialogue can add a great deal to the value of a production.
